Madison Dry Goods closed their doors on June 1, 2009 after 14 years in business. Kathy and Richard Miller would like to thank all of the loyal customers for their support since January 1995. Richard has decided to retire after working in the clothing business for 33 years.
Many people have inquired about the 30 year collection of country store memorabilia and antiques that have decorated the walls of Madison Dry Goods for years. Yes we are going to sell everything that was in the museum and country store. If you are interested, please contact Richard or Kathy at 336-427-2237 or by cell at 336-402-9479. They can also be reached by e-mail at richard@madisondrygoods.com.
We are going to miss everyone and the group tours of Senior Citizens, school kids and specialty groups. We hope everyone enjoyed the tours and collectibles as much as we enjoyed collecting them and showing them.
We would like to ask everyone to continue visiting Historic Downtown Madison to support the other unique businesses and eateries that are located there.
Dan River Coffee House & Deli has opened in the former Madison Dry Goods building. Please stop by to see Kathy Hawkins and enjoy a great cup of coffee, a delicious salad or deli sandwich. For more information and complete menu, click here to visit their web page.
Since Madison Dry Goods, we have opened Woodburn Square, an event center, located on the corner next door to the Madison Dry Goods building. Woodburn square is available for weddings, class reunions, anniversaries, birthday parties or other events. Professional catering is also available. Contact us to take a tour of the restored 1906 building with all of its original charm. See www.woodburnsquare.com for more information.
Again, thanks to all of the support and friendship from our customers.
Richard & Kathy Miller
